Day Seventeen Hundred and Forty-Two

The Reasons I Love My Dada
(Some of them, at least!)

Hiiiii everyone!
Yesterday was Father's Day, so I wore my most special Daddy n' Me tee with my Dada's favorite deer bow and went to cheer him and the Fishies on to a win!

Really, guys. I do have the sweetest dad. And even though I tell him every day just how much I love him and the example he's setting for me, yesterday I took advantage of the holiday and really laid it on thick.

I got out my best baseball and showed Dada all my skills he's been teaching me.

He was really impressed.

He told me so. Even though I'm a righty. You see, he's such a good Dada that he even loves my flaws.

Happy Father's Day to you, my leader.
God blessed me richly with a humble man, whom I'm already learning so much from. I love the way you speak to me and hold my hand. I love that you are always there to greet me with a smile on your face every morning and that you help me clean up all my toys at night. I love that you read me the Bible and that you scrub my teethies with your toothbrush. You've been doing pretty good on my hair lately - I love that you always ask, "where's your clip?" when my hair is in my eyes. What I do love most about you though, is just how much you love and serve and honor my Mama. I see it every day and when I'm older, I know that's what I'll look forward to in my marriage.

I'm so happy you're my Dad.
You're different and unique and passionate and tough and diligent and faithful in all the right ways. And you're really handsome too, so thanks for that. Everyone always tells me how cute I am and I just say, "You should see my Daddy! I look just like him!!"

Happy Father's Day to the one we cherish most!

And now: DIRT!

Silly faces!

And baseballs in the grass.
My life is such a joy!

Hey look!
That's my Dad AND me on the TV!

I just love you, Dada.

So so much.

Yesterday's day game gave us the whole evening to ourselves! To celebrate, we made dinner at home (FINALLY!!!), but not before getting drenched by a monsoon on our way back from the store! Fun memories, always.
