Day Seventeen Hundred

The Second Mother's Day

Nothing in life is better than being God's daughter, Adam's wife, and Amelia's mommy. In that order.

But though it's my newest addition to the titles that define me, being Amelia's mommy has taught me more about unconditional love than I ever could've known without her. I've since been able to see my Father God in a new and even more beautiful light. I'm able to serve and care for Adam far better than the four years before her. And I'm able to use the gift's God's given me to glorify Him in ways that I never expected I would as her mom.

I love you dearly, my sweet little Amelia. You've brought a richness to my world that would be lost without you, and I'll forever praise my Father in Heaven for trusting your life with my hands. I am constantly in awe at the extent I'd sacrifice for you. The love I have for you. The best I want for you. The joy I get from you. Thank you for making me Mama.

Happy Mother's Day, friends.
Especially to my own Mommy, who's heart would give anything to see her children flourish. Thank you for always being present. Always being willing. Always being sacrificial. You told me SO many times growing up, "you'll understand when you're a mommy," and you were so right - I absolutely do. Thank you for being my rock and for never leaving my side. I love you.

And Grama, I love you too.
You're the matriarch that glues our entire family together. The one who brings all the giggles, all the gasps, all the joy, and all the love. We are all so blessed by your  spunky heart and generous soul.

God is so good.

Adam's pretty good too, I'd say. After over 6 years of eyeing a "real" camera, he surprised me yesterday with my first DSLR. My "Mom" status just got even more fun!
