The Time We Almost Went Paddle-Boarding for the First Time
Sue and I bought a paddle-board Groupon a few weeks ago with every intention of using it. Yesterday, we planned our day, excited about our first time on the water together. But exactly when we arrived to Stuart, Sue got a phone call saying that our day on the boards was a no-go, due to severe winds and waves. Noooooooo!! So instead, we went and sat on the beach, dreaming of paddle boarding, catching up on the last few weeks of spring training, and talking life. Even while the wind smacked sand into our faces, we enjoyed the last bit of time together before each of us depart for our new homes. We're off to New Orleans and Sue's off to Brighamton, New York. Currently, actually, Kyle and Sue are making their way (a 19-hour drive) to NY! Please pray for their safe travels and for Adam and mine tomorrow (Sunday)!! Adam will be flying with the team and I'll be making the twelve-hour drive alone, but in a caravan with two other girls!
