Day Nine Hundred and Five

The Marlins Oust the Twins

In his third appearance of Spring Training 2014, Adam threw against the Minnesota Twins - the team that drafted him out of high school. Adam always says that if he'd signed out of high school, he'd be done and out of baseball by now. The kid had some growing up to do. For multiple reasons, I'm glad he did.

Adam pitched in relief in the third inning, allowing no hits, walking one (boooo), and striking out another. He throws again on Friday, March 7 against the Cardinals in Roger Dean.

So…I've been learning some new things recently.
Whenever a reliever comes into the game, the catcher goes out to the mound and talks over signs and pitches. Ok, I didn't know that. But if I were the catcher, I'd mostly just scream at Adam and tell him not to walk anyone anymore. That's probably a good route to take. I'd be a great catcher, right?!
