Day Eight Hundred and Ninety-Four

The Other Project

Larry (Adam's no-so old man) started a project for Adam years ago…back in '07 when Adam was just an itty bitty little thing in high school. He continued this project on through Adam's college career and all the way up until Adam signed with the Marlins in June of 2011. It was an honor when he handed the overflowing big black scrapbook (pictured on the far left of the photograph) over to me and told me it was my turn. Ever since, I've made it my goal and pleasure to document not only our lives through my own 365 project, but through the project that Larry started for Adam 7 years ago too. Like Larry, I've collected every newspaper clipping I could find with Adam's name in it. I've saved every last game ticket stub that Adam's started in. I've collected photos and CDs, fans, programs, baseball cards, notes, invitations, and awards. It's been a whole bunch of fun, but unlike Adam's daddy, my scrapbook is missing the book part. Yeah…whoops. So instead of a chronological, organized, beautiful project, mine's sorta, well, not. Yesterday, I decided it was time to change that. I went out, bought a book, sorted through all my Adam scrapping material (I didn't realize just how much I had), and started putting this thing together! It's been on my to-do list for far too long and since we're moving in, oh, about five weeks, I need to organize and de-clutter.

  1. Kudos! Kyle's "book" is still an overflowing pile, hehe. You rock!
