The Second Worst Day of Flying (At Least it wasn't The Worst!)
Yesterday was pure madness.
And Amelia would not let me put her down.
I had an entire condo to clean, clothes to pack, clothes to wash, and clothes to iron. It was 3:15 when we left the condo for our 4:50 flight out to DC. Plenty enough time, right? Except: Miami traffic. When 4:00 rolled around and we were still on the off ramp of our first exit, I knew we were going to miss our flight. And we did. Ironically, for the first time ever, Amelia and I flew American Airlines and not Southwest. Biggest mistake ever. Never again. Southwest would've changed the flight, no questions asked, for free. Not a cent difference. I knew I shouldn't have take the risk on American. Bad mommy. Although, what I thought would at least be a $200 change fee, was only (only is appropriate in this situation) $75. Thank goodness that something went my way. Sort of.
Between the flight fiasco, my extremely needy and teething child, and my rushed mistake in not eating anything all day long, yesterday mostly...stunk. I could say worse things, but I'll just keep it to myself. Oh! And one other thing: I totally dumped an entire Amelia-sized water bottle all over the passenger's seat sitting next to me. Yeah, that was horrible and embarrassing and totally lame.
This mom should open her own one woman traveling circus, I swear.

Just FYI in case you're wondering what happened in Adam's start this afternoon...
The game was delayed due to rain (DUH...the Conley Curse lives on, even in the MLB). It's been the Marlins' practice to bring another reliever in for a starting pitcher who sits more than 30ish minutes waiting for the rain to pass. Since it took well around an hour and a half, they would not let him go back out. Such is baseball. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. And if you're Adam Conley, most of the time it rains.
