Day Fourteen Hundred and Thirty-Seven

The Third Marlins Start

Truth: Amelia's name was almost Miller.
Like, thiiiiiiis close.
Turns out, she's definitely an Amelia.
But I still like the name. And the ballpark.

It's a stunning field, absolutely!

Adam threw in his third start at Miller Park against the Milwaukee Brewers last night. It was an exciting first three innings, complete with 6 strikeouts and some heat on his fastball.

95 in the middle of August!? Ok, Conley. I see you!

Dad left the game in the fourth inning after earning his second Big League hit and striking out 7 in 3.2 innings. He was at 38 pitches going into the 4th and battled through 30+ pitches before being replaced and after recording two outs. In that inning, 4 Brewers scored, making one Marlin Mommy - in severe frustration - slam Sophie the Giraffe into the diaper bag in a sort-of tantrum. Yes, I threw a mini tantrum. And you would've too if you were me. Why? Well, just watch this video of Adam's hit...

Hooray, another hit!
But Amelia? What's wrong, Baby?

MY MOMMY FORGOT MY BINKY AT THE HOTEL.
She seriously couldn't have done anything worse to me. Until she tried to FORCE me to use THIS one. ARE YOU KIDDING ME, MAMA?! I slept only 30 minutes from 6PM until midnight. It was the most terrible-st thing in the world. I just...why Mama? That Brewers binky you found in the team store was pathetically disgusting, completely the wrong shape, and why does it have that hard plastic around the edges? MAAAAAAHM!! Mommy noooo! You're so mean! You know I can't sleep without it! Waaaaaaaaah! You better NEVER do that to me again, Mommy!

By the time I got her into bed at 12:30AM, I was crying, Amelia was crying, and my Adam was sitting there - having just endured a most frustrating game and an even worse Uber experience - trying to soothe us both.
Goodnight.

His line:
3.2IP, 9H, 4R, 4ER, 1BB, 7K, a single and a No Decision
The Marlins won 9-6.
