The Sixteenth Start
A loss on Disco Night, what could be worse?!
A loss on Disco Night in heat-indexed 114 degree weather, that's what!
I guess, at least, it wasn't a day game or a travel day, so hallelujah maybe the Conley Curse is gone? (Yeah right!)
Adam threw in his sixteenth start yesterday. He pitched well up until the sixth inning when things got a little iffy. Two walks, an intentional walk, and a single later, and his shutout was replaced with two runs and the eventual loss - our third in a row.
His line:
6IP, 3H, 2R, 2ER, 5BB (gah!), 5K, a sac bunt (yay!), and the Loss
He's now 8-3 with a 2.37 ERA.
At least we had this to smile about! A surprise bridal shower for two of our girls! Jordan and Jenna, we were so honored to celebrate your upcoming vows and pray blessings over your marriages!
