Day Thirteen Hundred and Sixty-Nine

The Marlins Park

From Tacoma to New Orleans to Buffalo to Toronto to Buffalo to Miami (in 6 days) aaaand...

We finally made it to Marlins Park!
All in one piece, fully dressed, not puked on, and with Adam's family!
Success!

We were excited to see our first Marlins game at home. And some of our friends were too! They took my camera and went to the bullpen to snap some photos of #61! (Still can't believe this is real...)

Amelia didn't seem to care much that yesterday was her first ever experience at Marlins Park apparently. She was more interested in her grandparents and...sleeping, of course. Babies will be babies! But maybe one day she'll understand just how incredible that first night was for us!
I do have to give it to her though. Millie's been SUCH a wonderful little trooper through all of our travel this past month. She's such a good girl and I'm so thankful for her calm demeanor and sweet faces!

Making last night even better: Fish win!!

- Walking in from the bullpen -

Carrying the bullpen backpack - newest pitcher rules!
(And yes, we have cheerleaders)

It was such a special night to finally have seen and experienced Marlins Park after 4 years of patiently waiting for the opportunity. However, we'll have to wait to see all of what Marlins Park has to offer because last night after the game, Adam was called into the office and given the news that he'd be sent back down to NOLA. Players coming off the DL pushed him out of his bullpen spot...so we're headed back to New Orleans on Saturday sometime. We're in good spirits - knowing well and good that if this is what the Lord has for us, then away we'll go - but just pretty bummed that his parents all flew out to see him pitch and...yeah, well...that didn't happen. I guess maybe next time!
