Day 2,259

The Unexpected Pittsburgh Upgrade

We got up and out of the door by 10 for our flight to Pittsburgh. Thankfully, though the hour was early, nobody did anything too outlandish to warrant a pregnant mommy meltdown in the process. They mostly just looked cute and played together well. Thanks guys.

It got a little hairy once we arrived at the hotel to a single king bedroom with no pullout or space for roll aways though. At nap time. We slept in the room anyways and waited for Daddy to land so we could figure out how to navigate five people in a beautiful however small room.

Well, once landed and able to assess the situation, he decided he wasn’t exactly set on sleeping five to a king bed. So graciously, the hotel staff and our travel secretary worked out some kinks and found us an open room in their sold out hotel.

It more resembles an apartment space now, with room enough for a couple roll outs if we needed them. An unexpected grace that we are so thankful for, considering our active tiny children, the schooling we need to accomplish this week, and the privacy Mommy and Daddy now have. Also, is the bathroom shower/bathtub combo not the smartest construction choice of all time when it comes to splashing children?! Good one, guys. I won’t soon forget that genuis idea.
