Day Two Thousand and Sixty-Eight

The NOLA Goodbye

Chokes me up every time. But this time especially. What a roller coaster it's been this season.

Adam reminded me before he left that we're on a great adventure together. And though we're headed back to the place I most loathe, we'll face it together as the Lord uses it to strengthen our faith, marriage, and family. Can't really argue with that.

Until we're reunited (he's in Reno right now), we'll be sunning our bums from our condo in Miami (literally - Ella Mae has a yeast rash on her booty) and waiting for moments when we get to see Daddy on the phone. Looking forward to Sunday.

We'll also be studying the Word and praying that Mom's heart would catch up with her mind. My dear friend said it best today: "We often know in our minds that He is on the throne... but the trials show us where our hearts are.... and I thank Him for those trials that prune us and bring us to humbly acknowledge Him, heart surgery, opportunity to praise Him and worship Him." Amen, sister. That's exactly where I'm at right now.
